Custom Mei Tais
SimplyMeiTai previously completed custom mei tais using a waiting list. Word of mouth has very quickly spread and we found ourselves with an extremely long list threatening only to get longer. We have closed the waiting list temporarily while we complete all oustanding work, this means we can give each and every carrier the attention you'd expect.
We have decided to offer slots for any future custom SimplyMeiTai's. When slots become available, you will be able to purchase one by leaving a £10 deposit using our online shop. This payment will secure your place. We will contact you to get details of what you'd like and let you know how to proceed with your order, the final payment will be expected on completion of your SimplyMeiTai and it can then be despatched.
You should read the information on the 'Information and Prices' page for information on sizing and strap fabrics and colourways we can offer. You would probably prefer to use your own fabric for the body panel, please purchase one yard or one metre square and send it to us in a timely manner. When a group of slots are sold, the order of carriers completed will depend on how quickly you send us your fabric.
The best fabrics are cotton, most people use designer or quilters cotton. There are some links at the bottom of this page if you're looking for some inspiration. Consider your pattern; very large prints on the roll may not look as anticipated. Unfortunately we will not accept your own fabrics for the strap material, this is mainly for safety reasons.
SimplyMeiTai are pleased to offer a variety of sleep hood styles; the regular flat hood, the pixie hood and the sweatshirt or 'hoody'.
Lastly, when your turn is up, your custom SimplyMeiTai should take around a week to complete from receipt of your fabric to dispatch.
